URI Executive Director Charles Gibbs will be the keynote speaker at “Pathways to Peace,” a San Leandro, California event dedicated to the International Day of Peace, on Sept. 15.

Traveling Peace Academy Draws 200 to Kottarakkara

Interfaith Event Celebrates Indian Independence
Kiran Bali, chair of URI’s Global Council, celebrated the 66th Independence Day of India with an interfaith event at the Sita Rama Hindu Temple in the British city of Huddersfield.

"Hariyali" - A tribal movement to save nature, initiated by Ranchi Peace Circle and supported by the Environmental Seed Grants of URI. We started our action to form the network among the members and various tribal community leaders with the help of Birsa Munda Jan Vikash Kendra CC. Specially focusing on very challenging and affected district of Khunti by environmental degradation.

Bishop Swing Addresses Religiously Motivated Violence in Wisconsin and Missouri
We don’t have a manifesto from Wade Michael Page, so we will never know his exact motives. But terrorism against worshippers is religiously motivated violence nonetheless.
