“Our deepest prayers are with the grieving families who lost their loved ones in this disaster, and we ask GOD for quick healing for the rest of the victims. May almighty God help with further development very soon.
“In the end, I am very thankful for the messages of Ms. Deborah Moldow, Director of the World Peace Prayer Society and Representative of the United Nations and for those of Fr. James Channan, Regional Coordinator for URI Asia, who both sent prayers of solidarity and love to the victims during a significant interfaith event. These printed messages are with you and will now be read by Dr. Demonic and Mr. Siamon respectively.”
May Peace prevail in the families of Victims!
May Peace Prevail in Pakistan!
May Peace Prevail on Earth!
The Messages of Ms. Moldow and Fr. Channan were read, reflecting the spiritual solidarity and love that was very appreciated by the gathering. At that moment, it felt as if we were actually all on one planet, without discrimination, sharing the noble cause to spread Peace.
Mr. Samuel Payara talked about the Certificates and the Quaid Azam Gold Medal that will be awarded in appreciation to the dedicated people who rendered their services during this very hard time. Today, a very special Quaid-E-Azam Gold Medal and certificate will be awarded to Mr. Yuel Bhatti, who is already nominated for his tremendous leadership to promote Peace and harmony between religions and his outstanding services in the development of the nation.
The Guest of Honor, Jaffer Hussain, said in his speech that we are celebrating the one year anniversary of the earthquake victims. He explained the tragic moment and gave the statistics about how many patients were treated in the hospital. He said that he admires the services of the hospital staff whose tremendous services to the victims will be remembered forever. The Peace Pole will reflect all of these memories.
The Chief Guest, Sardar Iddress, said, “It is really a great honor for us, the organizations from Lahore-Province Punjab, to be celebrating the First Anniversary of the earthquake victims in the Frontier Province. Since the Chief Minister is out of the Country, it is my privilege to represent the government. I want to congratulate the organizers for arranging such a historic interfaith event when these dedicated people will receive the medal and certificate in appreciation and recognition of their services for the victims. It is also a unique ceremony wherein the Peace pole will be dedicated in the loving memory of victims. I am very much impressed by the messages of Fr. Channan (URI) as well as the relief work efforts of his group, Ms. Moldow (WPPS), and the speech of Mr. Bhatti.”
15 Medals and 32 Certificates were awarded to the dedicated people, organizations, donors and Peacebuilders by Mr. Sardar Idress, Minister of the Local Body and Representative of the Chief Minister-Frontier Government of Pakistan.
“It is really a great honor for URI and WPPS that I have received a Gold Medal, appreciation, and recognition. The credit goes to all of you,” said Mr. Bhatti.

Thereafter, the Peace Pole was dedicated by holding up the country flags and joining hands for the Interfaith Prayer.
May Peace prevail in the victim’s families!
May Peace prevail in Pakistan!
May Peace Prevail on Earth!
To close the ceremony, candles were lit in memory of the victims.
