On the Gold Coast in Australia, the Multi-Faith Devotional Group (MFDG) has initiated a day’s program to celebrate the UN day of peace.  We have invited all the local religions to make a statement and a commitment to peace at Griffith University at 1 pm on the 21st of September.

There will be music, prayers, the lighting of candles and refreshments.

Manipur CC is organizing for Sept. 21.  They will host a workshop and essay contest with prize distribution. Theme: “URI’s Vision for Interfaith Cooperation for Peace” for college students (about 40-50 entries). Insurgents are also college age – this is a program to offset some of the destructive activities and attitudes prevailing in Manipur among the college age group. They will use the Appreciative Inquiry process in the workshop.
