Taipei, Taiwan. Interfaith Encounter Association MCC participates at the 2004 Goldin Institute in Taipei.

Between the 6th and 12th of November, a delegation representing the Jerusalem activities of the Interfaith Encounter Association MCC took part in the 2004 Goldin Institute for International Partnership and Peace, wonderfully hosted this year by the Museum of World Religions (MWR) in Taipei.

The delegation included Sr. Karmela Farrugia – representing the general group Reut-Sadaqa, Ms. Nadia Tutangi – representing the women's group, Ms. Noa Milikowsky – representing the young adults group and Dr. Yehuda Stolov – representing the head office of the IEA.

The Goldin Institute is a unique meeting place for activists from a growing number (currently twenty) of metropolitan networks of interfaith activities, organized in the "Partner Cities" network of the Council for a Parliament of the World Religions (CPWR). It is always a special opportunity to meet fellow activists, learn from their experiences and approaches and form partnerships for joint projects, and we are grateful for it to CPWR, especially the leaders of the GI – Ms. Diane Goldin and Mr. Travis Rejman, and MWR – especially to its spiritual leader Dharma Master Hsin Tao and the wonderful team of staff and volunteers.

An exceptionally special event this time was the visit of the Representative of Israel to Taiwan, Ms. Ruth Kahanoff, who came to meet with the Israeli delegation and to hear the presentation of its work (that is described later). The meeting was very warm and we hope look forward to fruitful cooperation.
