Page 3 of 4 And to look back just a little further, prior to this Global Council week, the Global Staff completed a productive two-day retreat/training meeting that included a preview session on the peacebuilding pilot program that will involve leadership teams for four CCs over the next two years and provide many learnings to the whole URI network. This program will draw heavily from John Paul Lederach’s recent book, The Moral Imagination.
You will hear in more detail about many of these items over the coming months, but I hope this gives you a glimpse into an extraordinary, productive week that showed how far URI has come in a few short years, and how far we have to go. Through it all, we experienced rich sacred offerings from our diverse traditions that provided glimpses into the power of people’s spiritual journeys in ways that gave power to all of us individually and as a community.
