The Center for Cooperative Principles  is participating with groups and individuals around the world celebrating the International Day of Peace on September 21st.

Of special interest to educators, or people planning IDP observances with students in schools, they have prepared an excellent IDP Education Resource Packet
. Their 16-page pdf document includes:

  • Educating for a Culture of Peace
  • Information about the International Day of Peace
  • Activities for elementary, middle, and high school students
  • Information about International Day of Peace projects
  • Culture of Peace resources for educators
  • Culture of Peace resources for children and youth

and may be downloaded from http://www.c-cp.org/principles.html

The Center for Cooperative Principles is a nonprofit, global, educational organization whose purpose is to inspire and demonstrate cooperation and offer programs and experiences that educate about how to create positive relationships that meet all needs and bring out the best in everyone. Presently they are focused on providing programs and services to children and youth and to empowering parents, teachers, youth workers, and mentors to engage with children and youth in cooperative ways.
