Kenya, Singapore, Uganda, US, and India are home to our newest Cooperation Circles.  While they are united in purpose and principles, they are widely diverse in their intended work. Please join with us in a warm welcome.

Salaam CC, Nairobi, Kenya.  “Our CC chose for its activities visiting of the Nairobi slums and visiting the elderly who don’t have anyone to take care of them.  Once a month, members of the CC would visit such homes, help to clean the homes, wash clothes for the elderly and provide them with some food.  Our future plans are to expand our work to include other activities in the slum areas.” Salaam is the Swahili word for peace.

IUNUI CC, Singapore  (I & You and You & I).  Our purpose is “to use photographic imaging to promote religious understanding. Our dream is for everyone to see how the ‘other’ lives; to see that people are the same all over.  A highlight will be to set up a photographic website to promote religious harmony and understanding.”

Case (University) CC, Cleveland, Ohio, USA.   This CC is beginning its life as a very well organized group. Their constitution says, “We gather as the Case Cooperation Circle to empower students, our future world leaders, with an intentional consciousness of interreligious relations: to develop in them the skills, experience, exposure, education, appreciation and understanding of various religious beliefs and communications among them.

Churachandpur Interfaith CC, Manipur, India.
Their purpose is to formulate and uphold URI’s Charter and its Preamble, Purpose and Principles with specific reference to creating awareness of HIV/AIDS and the primacy of peaceful co existence. I think it is remarkable that their dream is to create culture of peace, tolerance and harmony among hill and valley people of different religions and traditions.   T. D. Singh explained that people on the hill and in the valley are living a "separate" life and that their contact will be very beneficial.  This CC grows our of several years of thoughtful preparation and development.

Concerned Friends of Community Health CC (COFCOH), Kampala, Uganda.  Their purpose is to promote meaningful living for all human beings by helping them live holistic health lives. And their dream is to see people living harmoniously together in a fair and just health environment.

Interfaith Cooperation Circle, Central Virginia, USA.
Our purpose is to foster a culture of peace and understanding by creating opportunities for interfaith community, exploration, healing, and celebration. For the past two years we have successfully created, a daylong, public event/gathering called “Sulha” (reconciliation) comprised of workshops, interfaith worship, listening circles, children’s programs, cultural events, music, and Dances of Universal Peace.

May peace prevail in all Cooperation Circles.

May peace prevail on Earth.
