Melbourne, Australia. The Parliament of the World’s Religions, the world’s largest interreligious gathering, will convene in Melbourne, Australia, from December 3-9, 2009. The Parliament  will offer more than 500 programs including dialogues, workshops, symposia, performances and exhibits, featuring programs on religion and the environment, Aboriginal and Indigenous leaders from around the world, as well as religious leaders from all the world's religions.

Over thirty presentations will be made by members of URI from all our regions. These workshops and panel discussions are listed on the URI website Parliament page - follow this LINK to see the schedule. In addition, workshop leaders will be adding their materials and handouts to their listings.

Members of the URI Southeast Asia and the Pacific Region are leading the initiative to provide the URI hospitality and presence at the Parliament. URI is sharing a Booth with the Dharma Realm Buddhist Association through the courtesy of Rev. Heng Sure.

To add to the festivities, a reception will be held for URI members on December 2nd, hosted by COMMON CC and Green Faith CC in Melbourne, and a URI Global Community Gathering will be hosted by Charles Gibbs and Shakun Vaswani on December 5th

URI is honored to participate in this illustrious gathering.

May Peace Prevail on Earth.
