These links provide excellent information into the diverse world of peacebuilding.

African Centres for Peace Education and Training Canadian Centres for Teaching Peace

Offers links to centers around Africa. Good resource for a network of peace education and research institutes in Africa. Sponsored by Canadian Centres for Teaching Peace, http://www.peace.ca/index.htm, which is a great resource for international peace institutions.

Canadian Peacebuilding Coordinating Committee (CPCC)

Organization which conducts major Canadian peacebuilding surveys and analyzes the information in order to systematically discover the ideal path towards peace. Serves as a network for many Canadian NGOs and institutes, academics and other individuals from a wide range of sectors, including humanitarian assistance, development, conflict resolution, peace, faith communities and human rights. A major resource and research institution for Canadian peacebuilding.

The Coexistence Initiative

This organization follows the purpose of ?creating a world safe for difference.? They are centered in New York and organize many peacebuilding workshops and research inquiries mainly in the United States with a few global programs. They serve as a resource and a network for many peacebuilding institutions and programs.

Global Forum

A research site which contains links to global efforts and projects towards peace. Includes news on recent peace events and research and has a link to URI under their inter-faith category. A good site which acts as a forum for world peace efforts.

Interfaith Voices for Peace and Justice

A large network and directory which offers information and links to over 800 organizations actively seeking peace. They hope for people of all faiths to cooperate and share in the quest for peace and justice in the world. URI is on their site and Barbara Hartford is our representative and member.

International Peace Research Association (IPRA)
Peace Education Commission (PEC)

Committed to international peace research and the worldwide dissemination of peace research. They work on global peace studies and use the analyzed information to help assist and design peace training. They were awarded the UNESCO Peace Prize in 1989. They conduct research and provide resources internationally and also they are a great resource for finding peace institutions around the world.

McGill University Department of Political Science:
Peacebuilding and Post-Conflict Reconstruction Links

Extensive lists of research and action organizations and references striving for peace and problem-solving. Serves as purely a link to other peacebuilding and conflict-resolution organizations.

National Peace Foundation

Important national peace organization which promotes peacebuilding and conflict-resolution at every level. Helped in the founding of USIP and helps with national peace education throughout the United States.

Peacetech

Begun by Louise Diamond, offers tools and technologies to replace the culture of violence with a culture of peace. Home of The Peace Book, by Louise Diamond. Also offers consulting opportunities and peace leadership programs in different areas in the United States. Centered in Vermont, USA.

Spirit of Goodwill

A place where men and women of goodwill meet to share resources for achieving peace on Earth through the powerful use of 'goodwill' and invocation/prayer. They offer peace prayers and downloadable peace videos.

Teaching and Learning for Peace

Peacebuilding activities for creating a peaceful world. Provides peacebuilding activities and guidelines for peacebuilding educators. Ann Mason?s website with an emphasis on ?Teaching and Learning for Peace?for the sake of the children.?

World Peace Prayer Society

Offers the resource of world peace prayers and peace poles. They have a Youth for Peace program and Peace Pals. The URI has worked with them with the Peace Pole project and URI has adopted their World Peace Prayer Ceremony, using religions and religious flags in place of nation states.
