Policy Advocacy

Many URI Cooperation Circles work at the policymaking level, urging lawmakers and governments to recognize the need for peace, justice, and protection of basic human rights.

Examples of this work include:

  • working towards global nuclear disarmament;
  • encouraging peaceful solutions to conflicts;
  • advocating for minorities whose voices are not easily heard; and
  • connecting partnerships between likeminded organizations to increase their effectiveness.
