URI launched its Youth Ambassadors Program in 2010 with 15 aspiring young leaders from around the world, providing them training, mentoring and support to initiate action in their local communities and be spokespeople and leaders for URI. This first round of ambassadors launched a “Rose Movement” for peace along the Nepal-India border; started a conflict resolution training and research center in Beirut, Lebanon; organized an interfaith blood drive to alleviate critical shortages in Kenya; and more.
Now in its second year, the program continues to grow and strengthen the interfaith movement by building up this new generation of leaders.
