Women's Interfaith Network Pilgrimage to Old City Jerusalem

Jerusalem, ISRAEL. November 15-16, 2007.  Two days of ground-breaking events just took place in the Old City of Jerusalem at a time of tension with many worried about the future of Jerusalem and pending political talks in the US next week.  The TRUST WIN (Women's Interfaith Network) enabled 50 Muslim, Christian, Jewish, and Druze women -- Palestinians and Israelis -- to come to the Old City of Jerusalem and to visit each other's holy sites and teachers -- most for the first time.

Abrahamic Reunion Ramadan Celebration

Greek Melkite priest Abuna Abu Hatoum, group member of the Abrahamic Reunion, a Cooperation Circle whose members include  Christian, Jewish, Muslim and Druze religious leaders working together to re-claim religion as a source for peace, hosted an inter-religious Ramadan celebration at his home in Yafia, next to Nazareth, on October 7th. There were over 150 Jews, Christians, Muslim, Druze and international guests that attended the celebration.

Iran Youth for Peace and Interreligious Dialogue

iyp logo.jpgThe Youth group of IID, "Iran Youth for Peace and Interreligious Dialogue," was formed in 2005 with the aim of having young people acquainted with different religions in order to improve the spirituality among them and to benefit from common spiritual values, values that can confront and quell the social conflicts among young people.  The other objectives of this group can be mentioned as: creating a culture of dialogue, tolerance, coexistence and respect among young people of different religions, as well as offering a clear and real image of Iranian young people of different faiths.

Alleviating Poverty One House at a Time

During the last week of Ramadan, thirteen members of the Quested Peace CC went to a small village in Irbid City called SAL for their annual anti-poverty campaign. In this village, there are families who are suffering from deep poverty.

Youth in Jordan Practice Communication

Despite the fact that it was earlier than usual because of the time change on Friday the 26th of October, fifteen members of the Jordanian Seeds of Peace Youth Group gathered at the Days Inn hotel to attend a workshop on Communication Skills that was organized for them by the Seeds of Peace CC.
