Jerusalem Youth Discuss Treatment of Captives in Judaism and Islam

Jerusalem, Israel. The Jerusalem youth group met on July 19, 2006, and discussed a subject closely related to current affairs. Following the hijacking of the soldiers in Gaza and Lebanon and the issue of Palestinian prisoners in the Israeli prisons reemerging, we decided to discuss the subject of captives, especially those from another religion, in the eyes of the religion. Not through a direct political debate, but using deep intensive study of both sides' traditions.

Amman, Jordan.  Under the patronage of her highness Princess Basmeh Bent Ali , Quested Peace group organized a Christmas celebration for 250 children of Al Fuhies (a Christian Suburb next Amman) at Bait Al Fuhies.

Amman, Jordan. It is our IRISWOMEN Co-operation Circle’s pleasure to share with you our marvelous news and the project that our team worked on with enthusiasm and warm feelings to achieve great success. We were inspired to raise funds to buy a wheelchair for one of the needy elders, excited for the sake of drawing a smile on our disabled elders’ faces. We are arranging for this visit at Christmas time.

Jerusalem, Israel.  The following Statement was created by the Abrahamic Reunion CC at our meeting in Faradis on Sept. 6 where we held a public interfaith gathering for 60 people which was addressed by local rabbis, imams, priests, and spiritual leaders.

Interfaith Conference in Mghar, Israel, discusses "The Truth"

Mghar, Israel. May 12-13, 2006. Unlike previous conferences held by the Interfaith Encounter Association, this conference was dedicated to the coordinators and members of IEA groups in order to allow all the members to know each other better, create connections between the different groups and acknowledge that the groups, even if geographically distant from one another, have similar ideology and share the same vision for interfaith peace.
