URI celebrates 7th anniversary |
|
Tuesday, 26 June 2007 |
|
Dear Friends,
Greetings of love and
peace.
Today we are celebrating the 7th anniversary of the URI
Charter Signing, the 7th anniversary of URI's
birth!
Whereever in the world you are and whatever you do this
day, I pray to take a moment to celebrate this event.
For seven years, URI has been a light in the world
dedicated to promote enduring, daily interfaith cooperation, to end religiously
motivated violence and to create cultures of peace, justice and healing for the
Earth and all living beings.
Each URI Global Council Trustee and Global Staff member,
all those who are participating in URI Cooperation Circles, and everyone in the
world who supports the principles of URI — you are part of that
light.
So, pause for a moment today. Feel the light. Give
thanks for the light. Be the light we wish to see in the
world.
Thank you.
Love,
Charles

The Rt. Rev. William E. Swing
Congratulations to all of
you who are graduating and to the rest of you who also helped pay the price of
academic success - by providing the graduates with personal support, by
teaching them, by building up the community life of Stanford, by covering
tuitions – congratulations to everyone involved. This is your time, your moment for successful
completion.
