Our purpose is to promote interfaith cooperation and a culture of peace and harmony among different religions, especially among Dalits or Aboriginees.

Habel Foundation has been working for the welfare of the Dalits for more than twelve years. Our activities include leadership training, counseling and career guidance for Dalit students, Right to Information classes, seminars on global warming, and medical camps for the poor. Our major program of last year was a one week Peacebuilding Institute. For each camp, approximately 60 to 100 people participated. At least 60 were students and youth from different religious backgrounds. The camps created and awareness in students about the need of higher education and helped them to choose a career. The Dalit women present were also empowered. The Institute has helped the students lead peaceful lives without prejudice.
