Leaders and members of women’s faith organizations together to identify and address conflict and women’s common concerns
This organization was started by Rev. Sr. Kathleen OLA, by bringing women leaders of different faith groups together to enable women through their strong faith groups to collaborate in building a peaceful, harmonious and prosperous Nation. Members of this CC are women from diverse traditional and religious groups; with different spiritual expressions. They all work together with an open mind towards promoting peace and oneness. After three years of existence, this association is well-known and appreciated in Kaduna state and beyond as active protagonists of peace. Among their highlights they outstand the interfaith solidarity prayer and march for peace, UNSCR 1325 seminar, the emergency meeting post election in which women were able to voice their hurts and release a press statement, WIC Sanitation exercises in June where all the women religious leaders of different faith took to the street despite a heavy rain and did a major clean up,the Ramadan Cup Final 2013 where they created great awareness, Seminars for Imams and Pastors and other religious leaders. Women of faith, working together, as Mothers of a Culture of peace are doing their little bit, in concrete testimony of interfaith solidarity, to make their environment healthier and thus more stable and secure.
