Teacher Unit Plan 4:
5 Day Unit
Day one:
Introduce
meditation and shrine. Ask kids to bring in shrine object. Introduce website.
Begin scavenger hunt on major religions (very abbreviated). Homework is to work
on scavenger hunt and write reflection on why they chose their shrine object.
Day two:
Meditation. Finish scavenger hunt on major
religions. Introduce scripture comparisons. Homework is to do comparison
reflection on peace.
Day three:
Meditation. Introduce scrapbook project
using minor religions. Assign categories, and begin work. Homework is to work on
the page.
Day four:
Meditation. Work on scrapbook page.
Day five:
Extended meditation. Sharing of scrapbook.
Reflections and endings.
