The new age movement includes a variety of groups and beliefs.
The ideas and teachings for this movement come from many different religious traditions --drawing on what is appealing and relevant from old and newer traditions. New Age groups sometimes include the use of crystals, astrology, and healing rituals. New Age practitioners attempt to get in touch with the spiritual world and the forces of the universe. Rituals often include dancing, prayer and meditation.
