Senior Accountant
Myra joined the URI team in September 2015 as Senior Accountant. She was born and raised in San Francisco, and remembers when the Presidio (where the GSO is located) was still a military base. Myra is passionate about working for social and economic justice. She has worked for more than 30 years in nonprofit organizations in San Francisco--including the Center on Juvenile and Criminal Justice, Friends of the River, Maitri Compassionate Care, and the Lavender Youth Recreation and Information Center. Myra says, "For me, finance work is satisfying because individual projects can be finished, and can be correct—unlike most of the rest of life." Myra is also a visual artist and painter (see www.myralevy.com). She enjoys hiking, watching documentary films, and has recently begun learning to knit. She and her partner have two young-adult sons.
