Role of Art in Peace-building--------- Art Compitition in School

Art reflects reality at the very least. Art is humanity’s attempts to recreate reality, to create reflections of reality – and imagination & creativity are part of reality – thus also reflections of imagination.

We have organized an art competition within students to promote there thought toward art and other extra-curricular activities. In this way students were able to express there different thoughts. The arrangement was also done by students, but we provided them with material. They were given an open choice to make any model or draw any painting which they like. Many of them made different models of landscapes and drew sceneries. It shows the love and attraction of this new generation towards nature. We appreciated there efforts and gave prizes to top 5 articles.

By arranging such activities we can create good and peaceful thoughts within our new generation. By arranging such events we can shift their attitudes around and get them changed. Art has hidden power to promote peace and it helps the people to work for peace and discourage violence.
