30th Anniversary of International Day of Peace celebrated at I.G.M, Church, Lahore

I would like to share a significant event of 30th Anniversary of
International Day of Peace celebration at International Gospel Mission
(IGM), Lahore. Said event was organized on 02.10.2011 (Sunday) by A
Better Community for All Pakistan-CC, Universal Peace and Harmony
Forum and Global Healing Initiative Pakistan with congregation of IGM
Church, 72 Dilksha, Lahore.

The congregational service was led by Rev. Dr. Marqus Fida and he
announced that today we are celebrating the International Day of Peace
and we are happy that Mr.Yuel Bhatti, Executive Secretary, URI
Pakistan and founder of A Better community for All who is spreading
Peace and Harmony through ABC4ALL School in slum of Lahore and URI
Pakistan spreading peace and harmony all over Pakistan. I warmly
welcome him and his team.

Yuel Bhatti said, that it great honor for me to be in IGM Sunday
service  although I have attended many seminars and Healing crusade
and International Conference  organized by Rev. Dr. Marqus Fida,
Chairman of IGM, Church and Universal Peace and Harmony Forum,  is  an
International personality famous in outstanding work of evangelism and
community development  through out the country and abroad. Today I
will focus the Celebration of International Day of Peace which was
announcing in 1981 by the United Nations.  He also reflects the URI
and Universal Peace and Harmony Forum coordination since long by
working together. We also know that present situation of the Country
is alarming by facing so many challenges i.e. terrorism, violence,
economic issues, unstable political situation and natural disaster,
flood and now Dengue virus fever and Lahore is effected a lot and more
that 150 lives gone to heaven and in hundreds in hospitals.  By all
means there is great need of prayers for healing, solidarity of our
beloved country and around the Globe where there is violence for
sustainable peace to see a better community for all.  We all let us
take pledge to be honest forgiveness, tolerance, acceptance and
struggle for reconciliation then peace be prevail  in our families,
society, congregation, city, country and world. May Peace Prevail in
Pakistan and May Peace Prevail on Earth!

Mr. Rathan sing a moving Peace Song while Mr.Patras Dewan Mr.Gulfam
Sabir (GHIPakistan) and Mrs. Elishba Yuel (ABC4ALL) and Mr. Afzal
Pasha (SEED) spoke on the International Day of Peace that our every is
Peace Day and love is best tool for creating Peace and harmony among
families, Congregation and our society. We are happy that we
celebrating the International Day of Peace with IGM Congregation which
is sound in preaching of Gospel and healing the lives of all humanity.

Before Sermon/Message, Rev.Dr. Marcus said, today it really unique
celebration of International Day of Peace being Sunday we will have
Holy Communion and on Sunday our Prince of Peace Jesus Christ was
risen victory on death. He said am thankful to Mr. Yuel Bhatti for his
powerful words on Peace Day which are biblical and thankful to Fr.
James Channan OP, Regional who sent a beautiful and encouraging
message on the celebration of peace day. He is really Peace Ambassador
around the world. All other guest speakers gave their marvelous and
thoughtful message on peace and love.

From the scripture from Holy Bible he spoke on Faith and Peace. When
ever we ask from our Lord He listen our requests but FAITH is
essential. Miracles happened in good and strong faith he gave so many
example from the Holy Bible. Am sure and determined that one day we
will see the peaceful society if we repent our sins. I pray for our
Leaders in country and around the world to be Unite for Peace.

After the service all congregation and guests join in lunch.
