Peace Day 2017 Is September 21

The International Day of Peace is September 21! Every year, the URI community celebrates with gatherings, conferences, discussions, marches, parties, and in many other ways around the world.

To highlight your peacebuilding work, we will be compiling all URI Cooperation Circle's celebratory events to view online and promote through URI newsletters and social media.

Don’t miss out! We will feature the URI activities happening around the globe on our new and improved website, which will be unveiled in September.

About the International Day of Peace

Established by the United Nations General Assembly in 1981, International Day of Peace, or “Peace Day,” was declared as a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, both within and among all nations and peoples. URI has been a proud partner of International Day of Peace since our network's inception in 2000.
