An Exciting Opportunity for You to Share Your IDP Story at the United Nations:

URI's representative to the United Nations, Monica Willard, will be on a panel to share URI stories on June 12 at 2:30 pm.

This is a Facebook Live Event organized by the United Nations Department of Public Information NGO Relations in conjunction with the International Day of Peace NGO Committee at the UN.

“How does what you do for the International Day of Peace impact your city, village or region?”

URI Cooperation Circles have the opportunity to share their stories at the United Nations by answering the following question: “How does what you do for the International Day of Peace impact your city, village or region?”

Although Monica’s presentation is only 5 minutes, she will share at least one CC story from each geographical URI region. This is a special opportunity to be a direct part of the discussion.

The stories you submit for this chat will be read as sent and shared with viewers from around the world.  All submissions will be printed out and shared with the UN Department of Public Information that day.

Stories can share ways you have observed the International Day of Peace in the past or share what you will be doing this September with the 2018 theme, The Right To Peace in Observance of the 70th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Please limit your story to one paragraph. Time is very limited, so thank you for being a part of the presentation from the United Nations!
