We are organizing a peace rally in Polonnaruwa District with about 10,000 youth drawn from peace activists of all districts taking part to commemorate the World Peace Day. Dr A.T.Ariayaratne will preside at this function.

On the 8th of June 2008 a similar gathering will meet in the Ampara District.

The final programme is set to coincide with the IDP peace day.  A gathering of a few hundred thousand people will joined by dignitaries of all religions.  Foreign peace activists like Prof Deepak Chopra with a group are due to perform a meditation to bring peace and harmony through spiritual upliftment. This programme will be held on the 2nd of October 2006.

We wish that you too would join us here in person or at your own place in thought. Any input from you will be appreciated.

May peace prevail on Earth
Ravi Kandage, Director, Shanthi Sena CC
