URI Europe’s work is strategically linked to inter-religious issues in largely secular Europe, particularly the effect of the influx of immigrant populations into historically stable Catholic and Protestant cultures.
In recent years, increased immigration, economic uncertainty and the threat of terrorism have heightened inter-religious tensions in urban areas throughout Europe. URI Europe’s 30 Cooperation Circles are uniting to build social cohesion in their communities by holding peacebuilding trainings in Russia, organizing rural development programs in Eastern Bihar, UK, providing interfaith urban conflict resolution trainings in Spain, and disseminating values education programs in Belgium.
- Karimah Stauch, M.A., Coordinator for Europe - With advanced degrees in both Economics and Islamic Studies, Ms. Stauch is uniquely qualified to delve into the immigration and cultural integration issues that plague Europe and is of primary concern to URI’s Cooperation Circles in that region.

Golden rule tour in Europe
Dear all
the golden rule tour in Europe is now taking place jan 2011. Would your CC in europe like to have a visit from Mussie Hailu From Etiopia and Lone Klemmensen from Denmark. then please contact Lone on lone@lingchiskolen.dk . most of the funding has been found but we will accept donations to help fund our travelexpenses getting from place to place in europe.
If you feel inspired to organise an event to promote the golden rule. We most welcome your help.
I hope we will be able to hold a meeting for the tour during the european assembly in october to join forces and ideas.
