Explore Regions

Each of our member organizations, called Cooperation Circles (CCs), is self-funding, gathering scarce local resources and mobilizing volunteers to tackle the most critical issues facing their communities. But they rely on the URI network—a system of eight regions staffed by highly skilled and dedicated Regional Coordinators—to keep them connected to one another and the outside world, and give them the leverage to make an ever-increasing impact on the ground.

Our coordinators help CCs develop coordinated strategies for solving shared issues; bring visibility to CCs’ work; organize regional conferences and trainings; and bring people together to form new CCs. Their hard work has paid off: The size of our network has increased six-fold in just ten years, and we are currently growing at a rate of 23 percent per year.
