SIKURIS Indigenous Meeting -MATHAPI-APTHAPI-TINKU

Dear brothers and sisters,

I would like to share about the spectacular and wholesome SIKURIS-MEETING called MATAHPI-APTHAPI-TINKU. It means "amigable encuentro de músicos" or "friendly meeting of musicians" in which about 32 SIKURIS BANDS participated.

I have been a musician for many years but at this time I attended as a representative of many youth organizations that are working to strengthen the indigenous identity in the youth community.

In other messages, I have told what "Tinku" means, but I tell you again, TINKU - a Quechuan word - means the meeting between different peoples to bring together their total integrity - in terms of their own Cultural and spiritual [identity] but also between different people themselves from different geographies.

"Sikus and Tarkas" are the principal musical instrument which are ancestral instruments from the Aymara and Kolla peoples. These instruments are used in the life of the community,  for community practice and to speak with the wind.

"Hermanos y hermanas desde lo más profundo de nuestra querida tierra Americana TAWA_INTY_SUYO les damos un fuerte abrazo de fraternidad y amistad." Translation - "Brothers and sisters from the most profound place of our beloved American Earth TAWA_INTY_SUYO we send you all a strong hug of friendship and fraternity." (This is my language, and I study English for you because I want to speak with you, thankful to be here.)
