Dear Colleagues,

Greetings of peace and blessing from URI-Africa.

This is to inform you that URI-Africa signed memorandum of understanding with the Institute for Democracy & Leadership in Africa (IDEA) to join forces with the following objectives:

 

  • To advance peace, security, reconciliation, justice, good leadership and democracy in Africa
  • To counter violent extremism, hate speech and radicalization in Africa
  • To enhance and promote principles and values of good governance through training and research aimed at building capacities among the youth and leaders.
  • To establish partnerships and cooperation with individuals and non-partisan organizations, institutions and corporations that share common Values, Ethics and Morality for the purpose of enhancing peaceful co-existence.
  • To build the culture of good leadership for peace, stability, security and prosperity in Africa
  • To promote the teaching of the Golden Rule, inter-religious and intercultural constructive dialogue and build trust and peaceful coexistence in Africa 
  • To cooperate, collaborate, network and partner with other stakeholders locally, regionally and internationally to promote peace and security in Africa
  • To jointly organize workshops, meetings, seminars, and develop and implement projects
