URI Asia Liaison - Pakistan

Anila Gill is a development professional, educator, and peacebuilder with over 15 years of experience in
humanitarian response, community development, education, and institutional leadership/
administration. Starting in 2026, she is serving as Pakistan Community Liaison with United Religions
Initiative, fostering interfaith cooperation, strengthening Cooperation Circles, and building
partnerships for peace.

Her journey with URI began in 2002 as a volunteer during the visit of Bishop William E. Swing to Pakistan
for the establishment of URI in the country. As a Youth Coordinator in Cooperation Circle for women and
children development, she embraced URI's values of respect, trust, and compassion, which have
shaped her lifelong commitment to interfaith harmony and community service.

Anila holds a Master's Degree in Biological Sciences & Education and has held leadership positions with
Caritas Pakistan, Sharif Medical City (SMC), and Sharif College of Nursing (SCN). She is dedicated to
empowering communities, promoting inclusive dialogue, and advancing cultures of peace, justice, and
healing through collaborative action.
