URI SEAPac Liaison - Myanmar
Chit Ko Ko Oo / Muhammed Nasir joined the URI network as the Community Liaison for Myanmar, where he serves as a pivotal leader in fostering interfaith harmony and sustainable community development. He is actively leading efforts to expand the URI network by inspiring and cultivating new Cooperation Circles (CCs) throughout the country.
His mission focuses on strengthening network vitality by mobilizing local assets and enhancing social engagement between diverse religious and ethnic communities. Chit Ko Ko's work is deeply rooted in the principles of the Holy Quran, where he seamlessly integrates Quranic wisdom on peace and service with the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) methodology to build resilient societies through grassroots empowerment and inclusive peacebuilding.
Chit Ko Ko brings a wealth of experience in humanitarian leadership and education. As the Executive Director of the Myittar Resource Foundation (MRF), he has spearheaded numerous initiatives ranging from emergency disaster response and rehabilitation to the upliftment of educational and health facilities.
His expertise in cross-sectoral collaboration is further demonstrated through his role as the Country Representative for the International Federation of Green Crescent (Yeşilay) which is based in Turkey, where he leads public health advocacy and addiction prevention strategies to safeguard community well-being.
With a strong professional background in Quranic education, Chit Ko Ko has dedicated his career to empowering youth and marginalized populations affected by civil conflict. He is a passionate advocate for productivity and personal development, frequently utilizing digital media and content creation to disseminate educational insights and peace-centered narratives. His deep understanding of Myanmar’s complex socio-political landscape allows him to navigate intercultural challenges with empathy and grounded leadership.
Beyond his formal roles, Chit Ko Ko is a practitioner of deep-work strategies and mindfulness, which inform his approach to collective healing and service. He remains committed to nurturing a drug-free, peaceful, and prosperous future for Myanmar and the global community, reflecting a lifelong dedication to care, learning, and the service of humanity.
