Nanette Miller has over 30 years’ experience in board and executive management with Marcum LLP (a top 50 CPA firm) and predecessor CPA firm, including 2 years as the board chair during which she successfully led a merger to become part of a top 15 national CPA firm with offices in the U.S., China, Ireland, and the Caribbean.

Her background includes working with private and public companies, both emerging and mature in financial, investment, technology, life sciences, healthcare, and media/communications. She has worked with rapid-growth companies and turnaround situations. She has been a CEO, CFO, and lead SEC audit partner with both U.S. GAAP and International Financial Reporting Standards experience. These companies range in size from startup to $4 billion in assets under management or from pre-revenue to $1 billion in revenue.

In the investment and mutual fund sphere, she was the lead engagement partner for a public $4 billion group of Mutual Funds. She has been the board chair/committee member for an Archdiocesan Catholic investment fund, loan fund and related investments totaling $1 billion. She is currently an independent trustee and protector for offshore trusts for a private family with assets also in the low billions. Finally, she is also a trustee for religious order retirement fund in the low millions.

A proven leader and board member, Nanette has worked collaboratively and strategically with senior management and those charged with governance. An original thinker who can design or evaluate business initiatives and risk management, as well as assist with implementation, she subscribes to the concept that a well-functioning group is stronger than its individual members.
