Rev. Dr. James Movel Wuye is a peacebuilder and interfaith mediator based in Nigeria who co-founded the Interfaith Mediation Centre (IMC) in 1995. For three decades, he has worked alongside his colleague Imam Dr. Muhammad Ashafa to transform interreligious conflict into collaboration and build sustainable peace.
He holds a PhD in Theology and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education Leadership from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He has served as Chief of Party for the USAID-supported Training of Religious Leaders and National Coexistence program and as Project Director for the Community Initiatives to Promote Peace programme. Wuye views peace as a shared, sacred duty rooted in forgiveness, empathy, and the courage to engage across lines of faith.
