Outreach and Network Vitality Coordinator
Samira Fatma Baručija-Homoraš is from Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, where being born during the war shaped her 14-year journey in peacebuilding and community organizing.
She serves as the Outreach and Network Vitality Coordinator at United Religions Initiative (URI), supporting grassroots groups in interfaith peacebuilding and helping strengthen URI’s global network.
For 10 years, she has been involved with Youth for Peace, a youth-led organization in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where she currently sits on the board, mentoring young people and empowering them through non-formal education to be agents of positive change.
Her international experience includes speaking at Stanford University, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Italy, and the United Nations Peacebuilding Commission, speaking on topics related to youth engagement, interfaith dialogue, and peacebuilding, as well as serving as one of 16 young leaders in the UNDP Global Youth Programme working toward the UN’s 2030 Agenda.
