Global Youth Liaison
Sandile joined URI in 2026 as the Global Youth Liaison based in South Africa. His mandate focuses on increasing URI network growth and vitality through connecting youth-led Cooperation Circles (CCs) globally, and facilitating initiatives that empower a rising generation of interfaith leaders to achieve measurable social results.
Sandile brings over seven years of on-the-ground experience in interfaith and community development, notably as Chairperson of the Volunteer Ministers Africa Association and Director of the Africa Foundation for Human Rights and Tolerance, where he led a campaign that educated over one million individuals on their human rights. Sandile’s strategic leadership is grounded in a multidisciplinary academic background in Paralegal Studies , International Law, Global Diplomacy, International Politics, AI Leadership and more.
By integrating high-level policy navigation with grassroots activism, he ensures that youth initiatives are both structurally sound and socially impactful. An ACWAY Fellow, Sandile is a recognized voice in international interfaith harmony. He is dedicated to shifting the global youth movement from simple inclusion to autonomous leadership, utilizing his intercultural fluency to navigate complex societal issues.
Outside of his global mandate, Sandile is committed to nurturing the next generation of leaders through the lens of justice, healing, and sustainable reform.
