URI is pleased to announce the appointment of Krithika Harish as co-coordinator of our Young Leaders Program. In that capacity, Krithika will work to jumpstart youth leadership development and service projects in the San Francisco Bay Area, specifically aimed at high school and college students, and collaborate with URI’s North America team on models for developing leaders in other areas of the U.S. She will also work closely with Matthew Youde, URI’s Global Youth Training Coordinator, to organize youth leadership trainings across the Americas. She begins on July 12.

Born in India and raised within the Hindu Faith, Krithika holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Davis in International Relations, with an emphasis in Peace and Security, as well as a minor in Spanish. She previously worked in the California Governor’s Office with the Schwarzenegger Administration as an executive writer, and is involved in various community service projects in the Bay Area. Krithika has also done non-profit work focusing on education and health in India.

Exposed to a wide variety of faith traditions during her time in India, Krithika is passionate about fostering and encouraging interreligious and multicultural dialogue among youth on a global scale. URI is looking forward to the dynamism and innovation she will bring to our youth programs. Please join us in welcoming this newest addition to our global staff.
