About 20 people attended the Oct. 27 workshop, which took place at the Bethlehemskirkens Menighedshus  in Copenhagen.  The event included presentations on URI, including a screening of the URI video, “Saying Yes to the Dream,” trust-building exercises and a dialogue workshop.   In addition, the Govinda Kitchen – operated by the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (Hare Krishna) community of Copenhagen – prepared a vegetarian meal for the group.

“The level of energy was high, and participants built positive working relationships in such a short space of time,” said Kiran Bali, chair of URI’s Global Council (pictured above right, with Lone Klemmensen).  “A safe space was created for all views, and we had some very healthy discussions around local and global issues.  It was a pleasure to meet such a diverse and vibrant group of people who inspired each other in so many different ways.

“I believe that the seed sown will flourish through the skills and dynamism of the participants into a beautiful flower of interfaith cooperation,” Kiran added.
