Observing non Violence Day

On the 2nd October 2013 Ektaan observed non violence day through organizing cloth distribution at Ambagan, Burnpur sponsored by DPSC ladies club - a long time supporter of URI work in the Eastern Region of URI India. It is the month of grand festival of Durga Puja in West Bengal where people buy new clothes to celebrate the festival. DPSC ladies club often organize and respond to various social causes and needs thus 40 women were given new Saree through this event by the members of Dishergarh Power Supply Company ( DPSC) Ltd ladies club. Several other clothes were given to the local community to distribute among the under privileged people during the time of Durga Puja which will be starting from the11 October onwards for 4 days. Many members of DPSC ladies club and Ektaan participated in the event as well our regional coordinator Mr. Biswadeb Chakraborty was present to connect everyone with the local community. Thanks to Ambagan Sarbojonin Puja Committee for their support to this social cause. We wish a great and happy Durga Puja to all.
