United Religions Initiative (URI) is partnering with the Parliament of the World’s Religions for the upcoming gathering in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA in 2015!

The theme of the 2015 Parliament, “Reclaiming the Heart of Our Humanity: Working Together for a World of Compassion with Peace, Justice, and Sustainability,” speaks strongly to the work of URI. As such, the leadership teams of both organizations are now collaborating on plans to engage an even wider global audience and advance international interfaith action.

“We are delighted to work closely with our friends at the Parliament,” says URI Executive Director the Rev. Victor H. Kazanjian, Jr. “This opportunity for collaboration illustrates an important next step for the interfaith movement – to bring together our strengths as global organizations to better achieve our shared goals of creating cultures of peace amongst religions and spiritual and indigenous traditions throughout the world.”

Current keynote speakers at the 2015 Parliament include His Holiness The Dalai Lama and renowned religious author Dr. Karen Armstrong.  Other beloved experts and luminaries, including Nobel Laureates, will also be in attendance.

We invite you to be part of the world’s largest interfaith gathering!

Join the URI leadership team in contributing program ideas for one of the 300 workshops on issues ranging from the environment and climate change, global violence, hate speech and war, as well as wasteful consumption and economic disparities.

The Parliament is especially encouraging program proposals that highlight the strategies of our women, youth and indigenous leaders in the interfaith movement around the world.

Register by December 10, 2014 to take advantage of the lowest attendance rates of up to 60% (70% discounts for students).
