On Thursday, November 12, Kashi was honored to serve as a host location for the Samaritan Center's 23rd Annual Soup Bowl. This was a countywide effort, and all proceeds went to the Samaritan Homeless Family Center in Vero Beach.

We served soup for $5 per bowl at Laxman Dining Hall. The menu included Acharya Chef Rudra Das's Coconut Ginger Soup and Chef Joni Mazzola's Broccoli Cheddar soup. Joni owns and operates the Marina Café in Micco. Acharya also provided homemade bread and organic coffee. Mumsie Jaya and Sushila made cookies.

We also sold 20 handcrafted ceramic bowls that were created and donated by local artisans specifically for the Soup Bowl.  Many local people attended, and we were able to raise more than $700 for an amazing organization that does so much for homeless families.

Love,

Swami Anjani
