Distributing Food and Supplies to Widows in Pakistan During Pandemic

Just a few of the many stacks of boxes delivered.

Peace Hope Pakistan, a URI member group, is distributing food packs and face masks to families that do not have enough food or safety supplies during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Faisal Ilyas, Peace Hope Pakistan Executive Director, reports that they respected the privacy of the families receiving the charity, and therefore there are no pictures of the recipients in order to preserve their self-respect. However, there are photos of the supplies that were distributed.

Faisal Ilyas says, "I have received many calls and details from many families who are waiting for the help. I have a large number of families in contact [with us] searching for help. They are daily wagers, factory workers, sanitary workers, cobblers, and domestic workers. Most are widows. Please do share this project for the hope of the hopeless people. You may refer our project for financial help or goods as well."
