The Weekly Shot: In Memory of Those Lost from Atomic Bombing

In September, Interkultureller Kreis URI Bonn Cooperation Circle, a URI member group, remembered and honored the victims of the atomic bombings on Hiroshima and Nagasaki by writing wishes for peace on rice paper and dropping them into the River Rhine in Bonn, Germany. They invited passers-by to take part in the ritual of remembrance, and the river carried the peaceful wishes away into the rest of the world.
