The Weekly Shot: Smiles4millions Foundation

(Pictured earlier this year, before the COVID-19 pandemic) Smiles4Millions Foundation, a URI member group in Purnea, Bihar, India, works for the development and empowerment of youth and women in rural and tribal communities. They aim to connect the world through education and wish for “a manifested openness to learn and share.” They focus on children who are living in slum areas, bringing them up to international standards of school education and sports by mobilizing local communities and addressing environmental problems.

During the current pandemic, members of this group have been working closely with other URI member groups to provide aid and relief to affected families. Learn more about their ongoing work.
