URI is celebrating its 16th anniversary!

Join Voices for A World Free of Nuclear Weapons CC in a global prayer commemorating the bombings in Hiroshima and Nagasaki and call for the abolition of nuclear weapons.

Peace is a dynamic concept, based on our inherited cultural histories, where we're from, and where we hope to go. Here, a CC member from Punjab, India reflects on the legacy of peace that they work to protect and grow. In the wake of growing non-violence based on religious differences and historical animosities this story presents a break from the difficult times the world is witnessing.

URI West Africa recently held a CC Exchange and Mentoring event in Nigeria, where five CCs came together to share their experiences and plans moving forward. Even though they are based in the same region, the way they translate and work on peace is interesting to see

The global URI family stands against acts of hate, and seeks to find hope in unity to stamp it out where it begins.
