URI Stories of Impact

Driven by the belief that every human deserves clean water and good health, the Global Interfaith WASH Alliance strives to save lives by teaching community-led sanitation programs and providing improved and safe water quality and hygiene for all.

On March 22nd, 2014, more than 300 attendees, including interfaith community leaders and key local philanthropists, gathered at the URI annual Circles of Light gala.

Holi, the Hindu “festival of colors,” begins tonight. Blessings and well wishes are coming in from friends of URI all over the world. Here are some of the messages we’ve received so far.

For World Interfaith Harmony Week 2015, Cooperation Circles worldwide celebrated by organizing group interfaith prayers for peace, compassion, and unity.

“Our mission is to deepen the connection between ecology and faith, emphasizing that alleviating climate change is a moral responsibility,” explains founder Rev. Sally Bingham.

Listening happens for 30% with our ears and for 70% with our heart. The correct words at the right moment can do wonders, because they can comfort, heal and help liberate. 

Founded in 2006, the Euphrates Institute works to promote sustainability and peace in the Middle East by uniting cultures that would otherwise be divided by lack of understanding each other.
