Founder and Vice-President of Descendientes de Guatemaya, a URI Cooperation Circle
Ms. Palax Tuy is a community builder and peace educator who has worked with a variety of non-profit organizations in Guatemala. She is the founder and Vice-President of the Integrated Association for the Development of the Descendents of Guatemaya. The organization works to protect the environment and promote sustainable development in the county of Xajaxac in Solola, Guatemala, through programs for productive change and ethical economic development, with a focus on the preservation of indigenous culture and language, ancestral teachings and medicine, archeology, and the environment.
