Inter Religious Initiatives for Community Empowerment Corporation Circle – Minipe brings together Buddhists, Christians, and Muslims to strengthen interfaith understanding and empower communities across the Minipe Divisional Secretariat in Sri Lanka. The group develops local leadership through capacity building, youth empowerment, career guidance, child protection initiatives, women’s entrepreneurship, and community awareness programs.
Recognizing the need for stronger relationships across religious and ethnic communities, the Cooperation Circle creates opportunities for dialogue, collaboration, and shared service. Their work also promotes eco-sustainable agriculture, encouraging knowledge-sharing and resilient farming practices that support both livelihoods and social cohesion.
Building on experience in disaster recovery, elder care, child rights, and women’s economic empowerment, URI Minipe CC envisions communities where people of different faiths work together to address local challenges, foster inclusive leadership, and create lasting peace, resilience, and sustainable development for future generations.
