This organization was started by Rev. Sr. Kathleen OLA, by bringing women leaders of different faith groups together to enable women through their strong faith groups to collaborate in building a peaceful, harmonious and prosperous nation. Members of this Cooperation Circle (CC) are women from diverse traditional and religious groups—with different spiritual expressions. They all work together with an open mind towards promoting peace and oneness. After several years of existence, this association is well-known and appreciated in Kaduna State and beyond as an active protagonist of peace. Their highlights include: leading an Interfaith Solidarity Prayer and March for Peace; the UNSCR 1325 seminar—the emergency meeting post-elections in which women were able to voice their grievances and release a press statement; WIC Sanitation exercises in June where all the female religious leaders of different faiths took to the street despite heavy rain to participate in a major clean up; the Ramadan Cup Final 2013 where members created great awareness; and seminars for imams, pastors and other religious leaders. Women of faith working together, as mothers of a culture of peace, are doing their little bit to make their environment healthier and thus more stable and secure—bearing testimony to interfaith solidarity.
"We are leaders and members of women’s faith organizations who come together to identify and address conflicts and women’s common concerns."
