In an individually and collectively conflicted world, each and every one of us is wounded. The Living Restoratively, Dying Peacefully Project (LRDPP), explores the many spiritual factors of how internal and external conflict affects individuals and societies. With a grounded approach to interfaith peacebuilding, the LRDPP believes that this framework enables careful examination and understanding of ourselves, as well as offering more holistic ways of loving, being, living, forgiving, reconciling, transforming, and eventually, dying. The organization formed around a shared recognition of the need for restorative living, grief healing, reconciliation, and peaceful dying. Members connected through peacebuilding, interfaith engagement, trauma healing, drama therapy, grief work, and humanitarian service. The group intentionally includes members and advisors from diverse faith traditions, cultures, and professional backgrounds, including Christian, Muslim, Hindu, and Indigenous perspectives, among others. We believe diversity is essential for this work because experiences of grief, healing, death, reconciliation, and peace are deeply shaped by spiritual and cultural understanding.
