Egypt is characterized by a richly diverse religious and ethnic landscape, encompassing various sects of Muslims and Christians, as well as a range of cultural and ethnic backgrounds, including Nubians, Bedouins, and other indigenous communities. This diversity, while a source of cultural strength, also presents challenges—particularly in the face of growing regional instability, rising cultural polarization, and the socio-economic pressures linked to Mediterranean migration. In this complex environment, the risk of social fragmentation and ideological radicalization remains significant, especially among vulnerable youth populations. To address these pressing concerns, Oyoun Masr has emerged as a strategic initiative dedicated to fostering inclusive and sustainable coexistence. By prioritizing youth engagement, the program seeks to counter the narratives that fuel extremism through education, dialogue, and community-based collaboration. Oyoun Masr empowers young Egyptians from diverse backgrounds to become active agents of peace and understanding, promoting values of tolerance, mutual respect, and shared citizenship.
