Progressive Action for Community Emancipation (PACE) was established by experienced and energetic people highly committed to contributing their time, skills and energies for the development and empowerment of socially, economically disadvantaged and vulnerable communities in drought-prone areas. Members address issues of peace, harmony, poverty, the environment, economics, and gender-based discrimination. Their motive is to serve people without discrimination of caste, creed, and religion for their socio-economic upliftment. Members believe it is possible through the establishment of communal harmony for peaceful existence and development. PACE is a nodal agency for the National Environment Awareness Campaign under the Government of India, Ministry of Environment. The group is empaneled with the Reserve Bank of India for the Depositor Register, Education, and Awareness Program. This Cooperation Circle (CC) also runs a shelter for urban homeless at Madanapally District, where 65 inmates from different religious communities are living. Members conduct a number of medical camps providing medical services in rural areas, and have prepared People’s Biodiversity Registers.
